As a result of legislation introduced earlier this year, companies in the UK with more than 250 employees must release a report of their executive pay gap. This was introduced due to the high level of income inequality throughout the UK, and so this report has been designed to force large businesses to reveal the difference in pay between their CEO and their employees.
